The first sign of gum disease is called gingivitis. Gingivitis occurs when plaque and tartar have remained on the teeth for a couple of days and irritate the gingiva
. If your gums are red, swollen and bleed easily those are signs of gingivitis. This can be reversed through visiting your dentist office for a dental cleaning and daily brushing and flossing.
